What kind of cloth diapers are there? TOP
There are several types of cloth diapers available. Loads of Joy offers prefolds as the mainstay of the service, however, you may upgrade to fitteds or pockets, depending on your needs.
How does the diaper service work? TOP
Loads of Joy is a pick up and delivery of fresh clean diapers to your home once per week. Your address determines your delivery day and charge. Your choice of add-on rental plans determine the items we deliver each week.
Diapers will arrive on your doorstep in a cloth pail liner. Remove the clean diapers from the pail liner and place them in the nursery. Use the pail liner to line the diaper pail.
The night before your scheduled delivery day, remove the diaper pail liner with the soiled diapers inside. Place the pail liner on your doorstop, or predetermined location, for exchange. We will be there anywhere from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to pick up the dirty and leave freshly laundered diapers in its place. Don't worry if it's raining, we'll leave the clean diapers in a predetermined rain location.

How do I get started? TOP
We will ask you to select the rental items you wish to use in our shop area here on the site. If you need help deciding on what you need or want, please do not hesitate to contact us! If you are diapering a newborn or welcoming a baby to your home, we will schedule a "pre-arrrival" delivery to your home 2 weeks before your estimated due date. Any other items you want will be delivered at that time. When we deliver your "goodies" we will give you a short "class" on cloth diapering and answer any questions or concerns you may have. We will then wait for you to contact us to say the baby has arrived at which point your regular service and payment plan begins. If you would like for us to come for a "hands-on" class in the hospital or shortly after you get home, we would be glad to. Additional support - in person, over the phone, or via email - is available along the way. Our goal is to make your cloth diapering experience an enjoyable process so both parents and baby will love cloth diapering.
Initial payment is due on or before delivery of the pre-arrival. Initial payment will cover the first eight weeks of service. The initial start-up kit (diaper pail, 2 liners, a snappi, and 7 diaper covers) must be rented at this time. Paid service is non-refundable.
